I have been working with young people with a range of learning difficulties for 20 years, but my passion has always been working with and teaching those on the autistic spectrum.
Having worked in schools and colleges, my team and I understand the barriers to learning that autism creates and the frustration and anxiety that this causes to student's, their parents and staff alike.
My empathetic approach has always enabled me to work effectively with young people; my training will allow you and your staff to do the same.
At PAST we use a combination of Positive Behaviour Management, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and elements of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to create unique behaviour plans for individuals. Our strategies allow young people to understand and control their emotions and behaviour. Each approach is totally unique and tailored to individual childrens needs. Working closely with families we can help to make being the parent of a child with autism a little easier.
The PAST team consists of experienced Family Support Consultants, an Occupational Therapist, a Speech and Language Therapist and a Behaviour Management Specialist. Working together with parents we create unique and effective stategies to help children and young people with autism fulfil their potenial.
Please look at our Family Support Section for more information or contact us directly.
PAST also has a small team of dedicated and experienced staff who are available for 1:1 and family support in the Surrey area.
Please do not hesitate to contact my team to discuss your needs.
